The senator had injured his eye while on summer vacation and his doctor treated it, making a patch for him to wear over the hurt eye.

"You'd better wear this patch whenever you are exposed to a strong wind," the doctor said.

"Guess you'd better put it on me now," said the senator. "I'm due on the Senate floor right away."
